Samantha Carter becomes Mrs. Jardian Sellers

Miss Samantha Louise Carter of Alexandria, LA, and Mr. Jardian Bryce Sellers of Abbeville, LA, were united in holy matrimony during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Friday, December 16, 2016 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Abbeville.
Father Greg Cormier was the celebrant.
The bride is the daughter of Otis Carter of Dripping Springs, TX and Cathy Williams Carterof Colfax, LA. Her maternal grandparents are Mary Macaria of Alexandria and the late Oscar Earl Williams of Alexandria. Her paternal grandparents are Roger Dale Carter of Pollack, LA and Dotsy Magnum Cranson os Sillsbee, TX.
The groom is the son of Jabian and Shelley Sellers of Abbeville. His maternal grandparents are Mary Cheryl and Andre’ “P-Nut” LeMaire of Abbeville. His paternal grandparents are Mrs. Anna D. Savoy and Abbeville and Pierre Russell Sellers of Abbeville.
The Church was adorned with poinsettias along the aisles and throughout church, banners with red and gold Christmas/wedding bells adorned the walls with lit candles, and two lighted Christmas trees surrounded the Tabernacle.
Music for the ceremoney was performed by Jennifer Parker, vocalisit and pianist. Her selection was ‘The Bridal Prayer’ by Roger Copeland was sung by Jennifer Parker as the bride walked down the aisle.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an imported fully lined, ivory tulle ball gown with a lace illusion bodice and 45 expertly detailed yards of fabric. The gown was adorned with lace appliqués, a boat neck, three quarter length sleeves and a sweep train. The bride complemented her gown with a beautiful one tier fingertip length veil adorned with a pearl embellished Alencon lace edge. Her ensemble was provided by David’s Bridal. She carried a trailing bouquet of poinsettia’s, holly berries, accented with pine and winter foliage.
The groom wore a cobalt blue suit, by Caravelli, accented with a golden paisley tie, provided by “Suit Up” menswear, Lafayette, LA.
The mother of the bride, wore a navy mid length sequined gown. The mother of the groom wore a burgundy floor length gown with a gathered ruffled collared bolero and sheared three quarter length sleeve. The step-mother of the bride wore a gold chiffon sequined floor length gown with a bolero jacket.
Sarah Carter, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Cheyenne Davis, friend of the bride; Valerie Robicheaux, friend of the bride; Amber Edwards, sister of the bride; Jenci Sellers, sister of the groom, and Jessi Lachausse, cousin of the bride.
The maid of honor wore a gold floor length sequined gown. The bridesmaids wore floor length gowns of their choice ranging from navy, burgundy and gold.
They each carried a bouquet of fresh baby’s breath accented with a shimmering gold ribbon.
The flower girl, Andrea’ Jolie Broussard, the groom’s second cousin, wore an ivory chiffon layered mid length gown accented with golden sequins along the midriff. She carried a mini satin basket filled with satin rose petals.
Ashton Ditch, friend of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen included Jacob Duhon, friend of the groom; Dax Broussard, cousin of the groom; Karl Songe’, friend of the groom; Brock Dronet, friend of the groom and Amos Spivey, friend of the groom.
The best man wore a navy suit with a golden vest to accent the maid of honor. The groomsmen wore grey suits with vests and ties ranging from navy, burgundy and gold to accent the bridesmaids. The ring bearer, Carson LeMaire, godchild of the groom, wore a matching cobalt blue suit with a golden tie to coordinate with the groom.
Ushers were Casey LeMaire, uncle of the groom and Colin LeMaire, nephew of the groom.
Readings were given by the groom’s aunt, Cindy LeJeune and the bride’s aunt, Carrie Williams.
Flowers and decorations were designed by Tiona Broussard, aunt of the groom.
The reception dinner and dance was held at St. Therese Holy Family Center in Abbeville. The hall was decorated with four lighted Christmas Trees and ivory chiffon ribbons, lighted starburst suspended ceilings, and winter/Christmas décorthroughout.
The reception was catered by Rena Menard of Abbeville.
The couple enjoyed their honeymoon, ‘Where dreams come true’ at Walt Disney World, Florida.
A rehearsal dinner was held Thursday, December 16, St. Therese Holy Family Center in Abbeville which was catered by Rena Menard of Abbeville
