Rilee Dupuis becomes Mrs. Dirk Guidry

Miss Rilee Elizabeth Dupuis and Mrs. Dirk Phillip Guidry were married Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, LA. The nuptial mass was officiated by Fr. Louis Richard, godfather of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Dupuis, Jr. of Maurice, LA. Her grandparents are Gladys Trahan and the late Robert L. “Bob” Trahan of Maurice, LA, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keller of Lafayette, LA and of the late Mr. Thomas F. Dupuis, Sr. of Lafayette, LA
Given by her father, the bride wore a silk organza ball gown, featuring a double peplum edged in mohair, revealing frothy ruffles of silk organza and pleated tulle. The bodice was also sculpted in silk organza and pleated tulle and a gold, pearl and crystal belt accentuated the bride’s waist. A chapel length veil with blusher completed the look.
The bride carried a bouquet made with a mixture of burgundy Rhinoculous, Terra Cota roses, Vendellas ivory roses, and Remembrance roses trimmed out with silver dollar eucalyptus. Intertwined in the bouquet were special memorials of the bride’s late grandfathers.
Serving as co-matrons of honor were the bride’s sister, Kelli Dupuis Knickerbocker, and friend, Kacey Ortego Hebert. Bridesmaids were also the bride’s sisters, Shelby Dupuis and Cori Dupuis Elias, as well as the groom’s sisters, Rachelle Guidry, Melissa Guidry, Patrice Guidry and Simone Guidry. Flower girls were Charli Knickerbocker, niece of the bride, and Addison Elias, godchild of the bride.
Serving as co-best men were Kyle Duhon and Ted Wolford, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Philip Verret, Andrew Clements, Jason Foret, Trevor Landry, Alberto Ortega and David Schexnailder, friends of the groom. Sawyer Knickerbocker, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer and Thomas Dupuis, godchild of the bride, and Peyton Anselmi, godchild of the groom, served junior ushers.
John Knickerbocker, brother-in-law of bride, Jason Simoneaux, cousin of the groom and Garland Hill, friend of the bride, served as ushers.
Readings were given by Claire Trahan Guillory, godmother of the bride, Camille Broussard Breaux, friend of the groom, and Teresa Simoneaux, godmother of the groom. Offertory gifts were brought up by Jared Mouton and Tanner Ducote, friends of the bride and groom.
A reception for family and friends was held at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia, LA.
The couple plans to reside in Lafayette, LA following their nuptials.
