LeGros and Meaux unite in marriage

Allison Nicole LeGros and Brett David Meaux exchanged vows and were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, Louisiana. Deacon Joseph Hebert officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony LeGros of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larris Denais, Mrs. Winnie LeGros and the late Mr. Frank W. LeGros Sr., all of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Sandra Meaux and the late Mr. Gary Lee Meaux of Meaux, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dunice Meaux of Meaux, Mr. Percy Breaux and the late Mrs. Cecile Breaux of Kaplan.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a full lace gown in an ivory color. It featured a stunning strapless sweetheart neckline. The fit-and-flare silhouette flowed into an elegant cathedral-length train. The bride accented the dress with a champagne-colored belt embellished with pearls and rhinestones.

She wore a delicate fingertip veil detailed with scalloped Alencon lace and carried a mixed bouquet of blush and cream roses.

The mother of the bride wore a floor-length chiffon dress in champagne with an A-line silhouette. The pleated bodice was embellished with beading and lace. The ruching along the waist was accented with a rhinestone applique and flowed into a sweep train. The dress also featured three-quarter-length sleeves and a V-neck back.

The mother of the groom wore a two-piece evening ensemble in champagne. The sequin and lace blouse featured a floral design and scalloped edge. The floor-length skirt in chiffon held an A-line silhouette. Along her waist, she wore a satin ribbon embellished with a rhinestone brooch.

Brooke LeGros, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.

Amanda Meaux Baudoin, sister of the groom, served as the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Christina Meaux Russo, sister of the groom, and Amanda Choate, long-time friend of the bride.

Attendants wore luminescent chiffon dresses in champagne with a soft fluted silhouette. The dresses featured strapless sweetheart necklines similar to that bride’s gown and empire waists. The bodice was detailed with an ivory Alencon lace overlay.
Scotty Harrington, friend of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen included Durk Baudoin, brother-in-law of the groom, Justin Meaux, brother of the groom, and Eric Meaux, cousin of the groom.

Flower girl for the ceremony was Miss Mia Lynn Russo.

Readings were given by Mrs. Aimee Herpin, godmother of the groom, and Mrs. Diane Sasser, aunt of the bride.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Johnny Luquette, Tommy Guidry and Kip Faulk.

Acting as ushers for the ceremony were Cole Latiolais and Blake Meaux, cousins of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at St. Theresa Holy Family Center in Abbeville.

The couple plans to honeymoon in Pigeon Forge. When they return, they will reside in Leroy, Louisiana.
