Emily Broussard becomes Mrs. Jonathan Curol

Miss Emily Kay Broussard and Mr. Jonathan Paul Curol, both of Erath, were joined in holy matrimony on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath.
Father Bill J. Melancon officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bride are LeRoy Broussard and Edna Dore’, both of Erath. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lloyd Dore’ of Erath and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvie Broussard of Gueydan.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Curol, Jr., of Erath. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Everett Curol, Sr., of Delcambre and maternal grandparents are the late Joseph Verdin and Mrs. Dorothy Verdin of Dulac.
Music for the ceremoney was provided by Peter Dozier, organist and vocalist.
Escorted by her father, the bride selected a Maggie Sottero creation with delicate lace overlay designed with a scalloped V-neckline with eyelash lace and capped sleeves It had a detailed key hole back and a full train embellished with lace.
The bride wore a fingertip veil trimmed lace. The bridal bouquet consisted of white and purple roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, thistle, berries and succulents. It was accented with pearls designed by Audrey Primeaux of A La Decor.
Nikki Knight, served as maid of honor. Lauren Woodall, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Shelby Moss and Tiana Guilbeaux. Junior bridesmaid was Kyla Arceneaux.
The attendants wore formal mint lace dresses with sweetheart necklines from David’s Bridal. Their flowers were roses and ranunculus in shades of purple and white, succulents, and berries designed by Audrey Primeaux of A La Decor.
The flowers girl were Mia Guilbeaux, daughter of Tessa and John Guilbeaux and Maci Borel, daughter of Kylie and Marion Borel. They wore ivory tea length dresses with sleeveless halter tops from David’s bridal. Their bouquets were miniatures of the bride, designed by Audrey Primeaux of A La Decor.
Taylor Chiasson, served as best man. Groomsmen included Heath Toups, Randall Toups and Ridge Faulk. The ring bearers were Heath Toups, Jr., son of Heath and Anna Toups and Ayden Collins, son of Justin and Katelyn Collins. Ushers included Taylor Clark, Tony Clark and Brad Mergist.
A reception was held at the VN Hall in Abbeville. The hall was beautifully decorated with pearl, lace and mint theme all by A La Decor.
The bride’s cake was seven layers with a lace design and flower bouquet topper made by Heather Augustus of The Sweet Spot.
The groom’s cake was mechanic themed and modeled after a deconstructed engine, made by Heather Augustus.
Upon their return from a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan, the couple will reside in Erath.
A rehearsal supper was hosted by the groom’s parents at the VN Hall in Abbeville on Friday, May 6.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Erath High School and an LSU graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from LSU. She is currently employed by the Vermilion Parish School Board at Eaton Park Elementary School.
The groom is a 2009 graduate of Erath High School and Acadiana Technical College with a degree in diesel technology. He is employed as a diesel technician.
