Doxey, Gayneaux married in Abbeville

Jennifer Gail Doxey and Kiefferd Gayneaux, Jr. were united in the Sacrament of Marriage on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Abbeville, Louisiana. The Mass was officiated by Rev. Jared G. Suire, Rev. Kenneth Mayne and Rev. Cedric Sonnier. Readings and the Prayers of the Faithful were read by Danielle Hidalgo, Godmother of the groom, Angela Gayneaux, sister-in-law of the groom, and Angelle Domingue, niece of the groom.

Music was provided by Natial D’Augereau, vocals, Jardian Sellers, vocals, Jude Gaspard, organ and Neil Simon, trumpet. Altar serving for the ceremony was Monique Domingue, niece of the groom and Nicholas LeBlanc, friend of the bride and groom.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oran Doxey of Abbeville, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Rose Hebert Doxey and the late Oren Doxey of Abbeville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith of Abbeville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kiefferd Gayneaux, Sr. of Henry, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Joe Gayneaux and the late Mrs. Simonia ‘Dobie’ Romero Gayneaux and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade Chauvin all of Henry, Louisiana.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, strapless, A-line dress. The satin bodice was adorned with intricate, beaded metallic embroidery and an elegant lace-up back. She wore a full tulle, ball gown skirt featuring embroidery to compliment the bodice. She also wore a ¾ length sleeve, satin jacket which accented the dress along with a chapel veil detailed with matching beaded metallic embroidery. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of freedom roses, black magic roses, calla lilies and apple green hypericum, all of which were encased in eucalyptus leaves.

Sarah LeBlanc, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Angela Godwin, sister of the groom, and Tiffany Libersat, cousin of the bride. The Matron of Honor and bridesmaids wore a crimson red, floor-length, sheer chiffon, empire dress with a beaded sweetheart neckline. Each bridesmaid carried a smaller replica of the bride’s bouquet. The flower girls were Alyssa Gayneaux, niece of the groom, and Isabella LeBlanc, Godchild of the bride.

Joe Gayneaux, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Jude Baudoin, friend of the groom, and Eric LeBlanc, brother-in-law of the bride. Tristan Gayneaux, Godchild of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Gift bearers included Jeremy Libersat, Godchild of the bride, Lane Godwin, Godchild of the groom and Aiden Gayneaux, nephew of the groom. Serving as ushers were Dwayne Doxey, uncle of the bride and John Chauvin, cousin of the groom. The rehearsal supper, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at Magdalen Place. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at St. Theresa’s Holy Family Center. The couple plans to reside in Leroy, LA.
