Donise Bergeron - Darius Girouard marry

Miss Donise Bergeron and Darius P. Girouard were joined in marriage on October 1, 2016 during a evening ceremony at the VN Hall in Abbeville.
The 5 p.m. nuptials were officated by Eric Toups.
The bride is the daughter of K. Breezy Stott and the late Randy Bergeron of Baton Rouge.
Parents of the groom are Daniel L. Girouard and the late Charlotte M. Girouard of Abbeville.
The bride walked down the isle to the instrumental song, ‘Cannon D’. For her special day, the bride wore a strapless mermaid wedding gown with ruching tulle around the bodice. It also featured a sweetheart neckline, tulle skirt, lace up back and sweep train. For her bouquet, she carried a full assortment of beautiful fall flowers.
Her maid of honor was Victoria Roussel with Tammany Boutte attending as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Lisa Langlois, Lisa Arceneaux, Barbara Wagaspack and Kacy Cooper. Junior bridesmaids were Grace Roussel and Ahni Mire. They wore soft Biscotti dresses layered with gold metallic lace. They carried an assortment of fall flowers for their bouquets. The flower girls were dressed in gold and tulle.
Nathan LeBlanc served as best man. Groomsmen included Brock Dubois, Trey Hebert, Brannon Poirrer, Hunter Girouard and Jade Dubois. Ushers were Hayden Girouard and Derek Logan.
A buffet style reception was held at the VN Hall which was decorated in gold, brown, burnt orange tulle and burlap. Antique doors and greenery were also used to give it the vintage look.
The bride and groom danced to ‘Storybook Queen’, by Schel Reaux and the bride and her father dance to ‘You Look So Good in Love’, by George Strait.
Each of the four tiered of the bride’s cake was wrapped with a white ribbon and bow. The bows were decorated with vintage broaches in the center. The cake was topped with a small replica of the bride’s bouquet.
Each of the three tiered groom’s cake was fondue cutouts of the groom’s favorite sports, hunting deer and waterfowl and offshore fishing.
The couple will reside in Abbeville.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by Bob and Denise Mire, was held at the VN Hall on September 30, 2016.
The bride is a 1987 graduate of Baker High School.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Erath High School and is employed with Energy Pipe.
