Celebrating 65 years of marriage

Luce and Velma (LeBlanc) Frederick were married at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville on June 24, 1951. Luce, 19 and Velma, 17, were told by both sets of parents that they were too young, but undoubtedly they knew better. Friday, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family gathering given by their children, Jeanne and James Northcutt, Don and Diana Frederick and Jude and Denise Frederick. They have been blessed with six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
