Wedding bells ring for Thibeaux and Simon

Monique Thibeaux and Matthew Simon exchanged vows of marriage Saturday, May 1, 2010, during a 1:00 p.m. ceremony at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. The Nuptial Mass was officiated by Father Guillory.

Entering the ceremony, the bride was escorted by her father, Danny Hebert, and her brother, Shannon Hebert. She wore an ivory strapless gown made of enchanting lace and soft tulle. The strapless neckline featured a ruched tulle as lace accented the sides of the gown. An antique crystal brooch detail adorned the empire waist as lace cascaded into the train for a dramatic effect. The bride’s gown was accessorized by a beautiful single tier veil, which was made of ivory tulle with the edges in a wide scalloped lace. The lace was sprinkled with crystals, sequins and seed beads. Her outfit was completed with a crystal tiara.

The bridesmaids wore beautiful Kiwi colored strapped scoop neck floor length gowns with a shirred bodice. An overlay drape elegantly flowed down the front of their skirt. The flower girl wore a miniature version of the brides maid’s gown in a lovely shade of light ivory. Flowers carried by the maids were nosegays consisting of geraldine roses, lavender lithianthus, white calla lilies and pink wax flower.
