NEW IBERIA – It was over almost before it began.
The two teams clashed on Thursday.
In the first half, the Abbeville Wildcats outplayed the Kaplan Pirates but were losing 16-0 at halftime
On Elijah Mitchell’s (3) first play from scrimmage against Delcambre, he ran 90 yards for a touchdown. He finished the game with 285 yards and three touchdowns. Trying to stop him are Colt Dooley (4) and Hunter Delcambre (33).
ERATH - With 8:18 to play in the second quarter, the Erath Bobcats football team ran a play to honor a student, who would have been a freshman this season.

LAFAYETTE - No longer are Tyler Derouen, William Noegel, Emile Trahan, Hunter Frith or Devren Constantine wearing Vermilion Catholic uniforms. They have all graduated.

The Kaplan Pirates’ running game looked to be just fine based on Friday night’s performance against the North Vermilion Patriots.
