Wildcats host Bobcats

The Erath Lady Bobcats are traveling to take on the Abbeville Lady Wildcats tonight at Abbeville’s gym.

This game is an important game for both teams.

Both the Lady Bobcats and Lady Wildcats are fighting for a playoff spot.

The Lady Wildcats are currently sitting in the 25th position in the most current power rankings.

The Lady Bobcats are sitting on the bubble at the 30th spot.

Erath only has four games remaining, including this game against Abbeville.

Being in the 30th spot is good enough to make the playoff, but it means that there is no room for mistakes down the stretch.

“I’m not telling the girls that this is a win or go home scenario,” Lady Bobcats Head Coach Andrea Bernard said. “I’m telling them this is just another game. We want them to play it, as it is an important
game.”

After losing to the Lady Wildcats once already this year the Lady Bobcats know what they are in for tonight.

“They know our game and we know their game,” Bernard said. “I need our bigs inside to battle with their bigs, and I’m going to need my outside girls to be able to knock down some shots for us. Other than
that it is just us going over our same gameplan.”

The Lady Wildcats are also looking at this as just another game.

Being in the 25th spot in the power rankings gives them a little more breathing room, but they know they are going to have to play some of their best basketball down the stretch.

Starting tonight against Erath.
