North Vermilion boys, girls win in Grand Isle tourney

In their first game in the Grand Isle tournament, North Vermilion’s Brent Hollier hit a game winning three-pointer to give the Patriots the 46-45 win over Crescent City Christian.
It was Hollier’s only three-pointer of the game and his second one in two games. He finished with six points.
After scoring only five points in the first period, North Vermilion scored a total of 26 in the second and third period.
Blake Turner and Malik Criner scored each 14 points for NV. Dreyland Adams had five points.

The North Vermilion Lady Patriots improved to 4-0, crushing Crescent City 52-13 in the opening game of the Grand Isle Tournament on Friday.
In three of NV’s wins, the Lady Patriots have outscored their opponents 161-34.
Seven Lady Patriots scored on Friday.
Kaylee Lopez scored 15 and Skyler Walker made 17 for NV.
Other NV scorers were Aleria Bolden (7), Megan Kelly (7) and with two points each were Kennedy Trahan, O’Reiona Bolden and Katelyn Cormier.
