Gueydan drops a road game

For a while, it looked like it was going to be a shoot-out for the Gueydan Bears and Ascension Christian
When when the game was over, the Bears fell 47-28.
Gueydan jumped on Ascension 16-0 in the first period. Ascension did not panic. They cut it to 16-7 at the end of the first period and then 16-14 in the second quarter.
Gueydan got behind 27-22 at halftime.
From that point on, it was all Ascension Christian.
The Bears tried to mix it up on the ground and in the air.
Mark Clark led the ground attack scoring two touchdowns after running for 159 yards on 15 carries.
Spencer Broussard chipped in 43 yards on 12 carries and he scored once.
Quarterback Randy Leprete Jr. connected on 8 out of 13 passing for 63 yards for Gueydan.
Blaire Broussard had three catches for 31 yards for Gueydan.
