Erath has easy time with Franklin

ERATH - The Erath Bobcats scored 41 points in the first half and cruised to a 41-6 win over the Franklin Hornets on Friday.
The win improved Erath to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in district.
The Bobcats’ running back Elijah Mitchell had a normal night. He ran for 217 yards and scored three touchdowns.
Erath also had some success passing the football. EHS quarterback Mason Granger was 8 out of 11 passing for 103 yards. It is the most yards Erath threw for this year.
Granger connected with Baily Ward for a 12-yard TD at the 5:22 mark in the first period. Granger also connected with Bren Faulk for a 52-yard touchdown that made it 27-6 in the second period.
Right before halftime, Granger ran for a four yard touchdown.
Faulk had four catches for 75 yards and a touchdown for EHS. Devin Broussard hauled in three passes for 16 yards.
Coy Leblanc chipped in 60 yards on his 13 carries for Erath.

Lafayette Christian crushed Gueydan 62-7 in district acton.
The Bears had 183 yards rushing with Mark Clark leading the offense with 84 yards on 17 carries. LCA had more than 400 yards of offense.

The Jeanerette Tigers scored the game winning touchdown with 1:35 to go in the game.
Delcambre’s Tylar Lewis ran for 190 yards on only 20 carries. He scored three times, including one on an 85 yard run.
Delcambre had 329 yards of offense and Jeanerette had 260 total yards.
