Erath finished season undefeated

The Erath Middle Blue team, sponsored by Quality Sports Authority, just completed the somewhat rare feat of an undefeated baseball season in the Acadiana Middle School Baseball League.
The Acadiana League was established several years ago and is a highly competitive league consisting of teams from Iberia, Vermilion, St Mary and St Martin parishes.
The 22 teams from these parishes were divided into an A and B bracket with the Erath Blue Team made up of 13 eighth graders from Erath Middle school being placed in the A Bracket.
Team members included Ross Allen, Matthew Baudoin, Tucker Bourque, Coty Bruno, Dillon Conner, Shea Duplechin, Corey Elliot, Mason Granger, Tanner Harris, Bryce Hebert, Chandler LeBlanc, Ethan Suire, and Jean Paul Touchet. The team was coached by Nathan Granger (Head/Pitching coach) and Coby Reaux (Assistant/Hitting coach).
Team Mom was Sara Duplechin.
The team swept through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record and captured the Year End Championship Tournament with an 8-6 come from behind victory over Catholic High of New Iberia.
Coach Granger stated, "I'm so proud to be associated with these fine young men. They showed up to every practice ready to work and to every game ready to compete like it was there last game they'd ever play! If they keep working and improving, they could be special!"
This is the second year in a row that the top bracket was won by the Blue Team from Erath Middle.
