Port Hudson Battlefield Hike

On December 13, at 10 a.m., join a site ranger for a guided hike over the entire six-mile trail system at Port Hudson State Historic Site.

Over the course of the hike, the ranger will point out significant landmark and features such as Federal cannon positions, Confederate defense lines, points of attack, and more; illustrating some of the events that occurred during the Siege of Port Hudson.

Visitors participating in this event are encouraged to bring or wear weather-appropriate clothing and proper shoes; also, due to the rough terrain, baby strollers and wheel chairs are not recommended. For more information, please call 1-888-677-2364 toll free or 634-3775 locally.
