ABBEVILLE – Funeral services for Virginia Comeaux Landry is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Macedonia Baptist Church – 607 S. Bailey Street with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Grosse Isle. Rev. Wayne Landry will officiate the service.
Mrs. Virginia Landry (87), a long-time resident of Abbeville, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, seven sons, Robert Landry (Jenitha), Pastor Wayne Landry (Catherine), George Landry III (Bevely), Patrick Landry (Tracey), Allen Landry (Lenise), and Paul Landry, all of Abbeville, LA; three daughters, Ruth Ann Bessard, Angelia Marie Landry, and Barbara Lynn Landry, all of Abbeville, LA; forty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, thirty two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Landry, Jr., her mother Elnora Joiner, one son, John Edward Landry, and one grandson Robert Landry.
Visitation will take place at the church (Macedonia Baptist Church) from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
