ABBEVILLE — A Home-going Celebration will be held for Mrs. Vertner Reedom Levine, the former Vertner Reedom 100, at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Mount Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. Ennis Sullivan officiating.
She will await the resurrection at St. Paul Cemetery
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8:00 A.M. Saturday at the church until time of service.
A native and resident of Abbeville, LA, she passed at 1:57 A.M. Friday, December 23, 2016 at her residence in Abbeville, LA.
She was a member of Mount Triumph Baptist Church, where she was a member of Senior Choir, Mission, and Mother of the Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Dallas Levine, Sr. (Ruby), Dalton Levine, Sr. (Regina) of New Iberia, LA and Walter Levine, Sr. of Abbeville, LA; one daughter, Irene L. Hawthorne of Abbeville, LA; one sister, Velma Shade of Port Arthur, TX; thirty grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Levine, her parents Marshall Reedom, Sr., and Maggie Harris Reedom, two brothers, Joseph Reedom and Herman Reedom, and one sister, Maggie McNeal.
