Leo Stanley Faulk

March 12, 1930 ~ July 15, 2015

KAPLAN—Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at a 1 p.m. Milititary Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Leo Stanley Faulk, 85, who died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Rev. Mark Miley officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Timothy Vincent, Seth LeBlanc, Christopher Vincent, Ray Vincent, Kent Dartez, and Jerry Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Louby “Skipper” Faulk, Blake Manale, Dylan Trahan, and Kyle Trahan.
Mr. Faulk, born March 12, 1930, was a native and resident of Kaplan. He served his country, as a corporal in the artillery division, in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired, with 35 years of service, from Freeport-McMoRan. He was a member of the American Legion Lejeune-Boudreaux Post #271.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Mamie Hebert Faulk of Kaplan; six daughters, Janice and her husband, Ray Vincent of Kaplan, Peggy Marceaux of Kaplan, Judith Faulk of Lafayette, Roxane Manale of Kenner, Patricia and her husband, Kent Dartez of Lafayette, and Raenell and her husband, Jerry Trahan of Maurice; thirteen grandchildren, Timothy Vincent and his wife, Jessica, Jennifer and her husband, Lance Vidrine, Stephanie Vincent, Christopher Vincent, Alexa Marceaux and her husband, Jeremy Broussard, and Angela Marceaux and her husband, Steve Villejoin, Seth LeBlanc, Blake Manale, Lauren Dartez, Angelle Dartez, Emily Dartez, Dylan Trahan, and Kyle Trahan; and five great grandchildren: Kenlee Vidrine, Hayden Marceaux, Jackson Ryder, Lainey Villejoin, Aiden Broussard, and another Broussard baby on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adonis Faulk and the former Azema Trahan; four brothers, Ewell Faulk, Ernest Faulk, Louby Paul Faulk, and John Sidney Faulk; and one son-in-law, Nicholas Manale.
The Faulk family would like to thank Dr. Randall Faulk, Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital staff, and Kaplan Healthcare Center staff for their care and support.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
