ABBEVILLE – Funeral service for Dixie Marie Trahan is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Father Greg Cormier will officiate the service.
Dixie M. Trahan (73), a long-time resident of Abbeville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 after a brief residency at Lady of the Oaks Center in Lafayette, LA.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Richard Trahan (Sadie) of Scott, LA; James Trahan (Juanita) of Lake Charles, LA; and Leslie Trahan of Fenton, LA; her siblings, Shirley Levine, Mary Castille, and Helen Moore all of Abbeville, LA; Clarence Levy, Sr. of New Orleans, LA; and Donnie Rubin of Lafayette, LA; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lernest Levy, Sr. and Gracie Pierre Levy, two sisters, Beverly Briggs, and Gracie Levy; two brothers, Lernest Levy, Jr. and John Malveaux.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Kinchen Funeral Home from 8:00 – 10:45 A.M.
