Abbeville Festival named one of the top quirkiest festivals in the country by LA Times

The Los Angeles Times has named Vermilion Parish's Giant Omelette Celebration one of the top quirkiest food festivals in the U.S.

Leah Richard, Communications Director for the Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission says, “We are so lucky to have this internationally known festival right in our back yard.  We have always known how unique the Omelettle Celebration is, but the recognition is wonderful.”

The Giant Omelette Celebration was also named one of USA TODAY’s top strangest food festivals in the country last month.  The Celebration is an Abbeville tradition that brings visitors to Vermilion Parish from all over the world.
