Mire and Saunier tie the knot

Holley Brooke Mire and Casey Lewis Saunier were united in marriage on November 20, 2011, on the 18th Lawn of the Harbour Town Golf Links at the Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Reverend Carl Schroeder officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Hubert Mire Jr. and Stacey Vidallia Mire, both of Abbeville, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene “Clancy” Suire, of Erath, Louisiana and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Mire, Sr., of Abbeville, Louisiana. She is employed by the Law Office of Gabe A. Duhon.

The groom is the son of Duane and Donna Saunier, of Delcambre, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Davey Saunier, of Delcambre, Louisiana, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Broussard of Abbeville, Louisiana and Ms. Lois Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana. He is employed by Pelstar.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a mermaid style dress of Sienna Organza and lace applications. The bride carried a bouquet of ivory orchids, adorned with pearl and crystal brooches and ivory ostrich plumes. The bouquet also contained a special memento from the bride’s great-grandmother.

Serving as matron of honor was Kayla Romero, friend of the bride, and Lauren Landry, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Katie Huval, Ashlie Langlinais, Jennifer Moody and Amy Morgan, all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore elegant floor length black chiffon dresses with a jewel neckline and empire waist. They carried black and scarlet feather and brooch bouquets. Lillian Steen, godchild of the bride, served as flower girl.

Serving as the Best Man was Cody Frederick, friend of the groom. Serving as groomsmen were Christopher Dore, friend of the groom, and Zachary Mire, brother of the bride. Parker Nunez, godchild of the groom served as the ring bearer. Oliver Nunez, cousin of the groom and Clint Steen, cousin of the bride served as ushers.

A reception was held in the Harbour Town Clubhouse immediately following the ceremony. After returning home from a honeymoon to Europe, the couple will reside in Abbeville, Louisiana.
