Website ranks Vermilion Parish schools

Once again, Vermilion Parish has shown that it has great high schools in the state by having three ranked in the top 20, according to one website.
The national website Schooldigger.com ranked all of the state’s high schools.
In the high school rankings, Caddo Parish Magnet High School in Shreveport and Baton Rouge Magnet High School in East Baton Rouge Parish are both ranked No. 1.
Erath High School is ranked No 6. It is the highest ranking public high school that is not a magnet school, charter school or an academy school.
Not too far below Erath High is Kaplan High at No. 14 and North Vermilion High is No. 17.
Delcambre High, in Iberia Parish, is No. 18.
Abbeville High is No 49th and Gueydan High is No. 63 out of 298 high schools.
The wesbite also ranked each school district and Vermilion Parish ranked No. 16, which is higher than any district in Acadiana. Acadia Parish is No. 19th, Iberia Parish is No. 31 and Lafayette Parish is No. 37th.
According to the website, ranking updates are approximately posted yearly, usually the same day the Louisiana Department of Education releases their test scores. The website updated its Louisiana rankings on July 29, 2016.
Each school is ranked by calculating an Average Standard Score by grades. The school with the highest Average Standard Score is ranked #1. For specific details about our ranking process, see our Ranking FAQ.
Test scores included in the rankings include: EOC Algebra I, EOC Geometry, EOC Biology, EOC English II, EOC U.S. History, EOC English III
