The AgCenter building had two feet of water inside after the flood on Aug. 13.

Vermilon Parish LSU Ag Center relocates to Henry after August flooding

Phone Number: 898-4335

The LSU AgCenter’s Vermilion 4-H and County Agent Office building was inundated with nearly two feet of water in the recent floods and has been closed since.
Most programs and activities have been on hold since that time. There has been no phone or internet service for the past two weeks, so it has limited contact with the clientele who depend on their services.
However, due to the efforts of the staff, sugarcane farmers of Vermilion Parish, Errol Domingues Farms, Mike Luquette and Tim Albert, who provided crews of workers, and several 4-H leaders and members, the office walls have been opened and contents removed.
The Vermilion Parish Police Jury has been proactive in providing remediation services and have begun the process of restoring the building.
The offices are now located at the Henry School Education Center behind the gym.
The address is 6305 LA Hwy. 330, Erath, LA 70533.
The 4-H and County Agent staff would like to thank the Vermilion Parish School Board and Superintendent Jerome Puyau, the Vermilion Parish Police Jury and Broussard Brothers for offering relocation sites. Ultimately the facilities at the Henry location were best suited for continuation of the LSU AgCenter’s programs here in the parish.
Phone service has been restored at our old number 337-898-4335 and internet will be available soon. We are open for business. Don’t hesitate to contact us.
