Vermilion QSA All-Stars in Pinto World Series

Vermilion Parish will be represented in the Pony Pinto Baseball World Series, which gets underway Thursday in Youngsville.
The QSA 8-and-under All-Stars will be one of eight teams competing in the four-day coach-pitch World Series.
It will be a double elimination tournament and will feature teams from Texas (three teams), Florida (one team) and Louisiana (four teams).
QSA plays Thursday at 8:30 against a Texas team from Aledo Black. Aledo is from the Forth Worth area and champions of its region.
The game will be played on Field 2. Admission is free.
If QSA wins, it plays at 7 p.m. on Thursday. A loss tonight has QSA playing at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
QSA qualified for the World Series by finishing second in last week’s regional tournament in Youngsville, at the same park it will be playing on tonight.
The World Series concludes Saturday.
