Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office investigating daytime burglaries

On June 30, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office responded to three daytime residential burglaries south of Kaplan,
All three rear doors had been kicked in.
Large amounts of cash, jewelry, and other items were taken from all three residences.
Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon says that one of the victims had a large safe taken which contained a very large amount of cash and that it is believed that more than one person was involved during the commission of all three burglaries.
Sheriff Couvillon further stated that detectives are actively and aggressively investigating these burglaries and is asking the public for their assistance in locating the person and/or persons responsible for these crime.
There is a $2,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of those individuals involved in these crimes. Additional information will be provided as the investigation moves forward.
