Two suspects turn themselves in to Abbeville Police Thursday

Two suspects wanted in connection to recent shootings turned themselves in Thursday to the Abbeville Police Department.
Abbeville Police released the names of Kirkland Demouchet of Abbeville and Kavan Broussard of Abbeville Thursday morning.
By Thursday afternoon, both men had surrendered to law enforcement.
Demouchet of Abbeville was wanted in connection to a shooting that took place in Abbeville on July 20. Police also named him as a suspect in a shooting that occurred in the city this past weekend.
Broussard who was also wanted in connection to a shooting, turned himself in Thursday afternoon. Broussard was turned into authorities by a family member.
Police booked Broussard, a suspect from a weekend shooting on two counts of possession of stolen firearms. No bond was set on the warrants. Broussard was then transferred to the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center where he awaits bond.
Demouchet was transferred to the VPCC Thursday afternoon.
The investigation of the weekend shooting is still ongoing.
