Many reach plea agreements in Vermilion Parish

Here are plea agreements reached in the 15th District Judicial Court last week.

• Latashia Hurt pled no contest to the amended charge of theft over $500. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve three years at hard labor at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served since 2008. Sentence is to run concurrent with sentence in Livingston Parish.

• Chelsi Alexander Kloppfer pled not guilty and entered a plea of no contest tot he charge of possession of marijuana. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve six months in the parish jail and one year of supervised probation.

• Jeremy Robert Boudreaux pled no contest to the charge of simple burglary. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve two years at hard labor at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served since 2012. Sentence is to run concurrent with any other sentence the defendant is presently serving.

• John L Touchet withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to the amended charge of theft over $500. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the State. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve four years at hard labor but is suspended and two years supervised probation. The defendant must pay court cost in the amount of $420 within 23 months. The defendant must pay restitution to Charles Guidry Farms in the amount of $1009.42 through probation and parole within 23 months at a rate of $45 per month.

• Dawn Robicheaux withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of possession of methamphetamine. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve five years at hard labor but it is suspended and five years supervised probation. The defendant must pay court cost in the amount of $460. The defendant must pay a crime lab fee of $250 to be made payable to the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office with 90 days. The defendant must pay a fee of $50.

• Katie Darby withdrew her former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to the charge of possession of alprazolam. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve three years at hard labor at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The sentence is to run concurrent with revocation sentence in 53425.

• Treg M Comeaux withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of DWI - 3rd offense. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and order the defendant to serve a presentence investigative report.

• Mark Alexander withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the amended charge of resisting arrest. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve six years in the parish jail and twelve months supervised probation.

• Jamie Vallery withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to the charge of misdemeanor assault. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve 90 days in the parish jail with credit for time served since 11/23/2012. The sentence is to run concurrent with any other sentence the defendant is presently serving.

• Brandon Ledet withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of simple criminal damage to property less than $500 (misdemeanor). A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve six months of the parish jail and one year supervised probation.

• Jezreel Westley withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of three counts simple burglary. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve a deferred imposition of a sentence of six years at hard labor and two years of supervised probation.

• Davis Benoit withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of possession of a legend drug without a prescription. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve one year at hard labor at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served since 1/12/2013. The sentence is to run concurrent with any other sentence the defendant is possibly serving.

• Stephen Turner withdrew his former plea of not guilty to a plea of no contest to the amended charge of remaining in place after being forbidden. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve six months in the parish jail with credit for time served since 4/23/2013. The sentence is to run concurrent with any other sentence the defendant is possibly serving.

• David Leblanc withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to the amended charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve three years of hard labor but it is suspended, with two years supervised.

• Blaine Williams withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of distribution of cocaine. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve two years at hard labor without benefit at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served since 2/13/2013.

Donald Stelly withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of possession of amphetamine. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve two years at hard labor at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

• Chad Trahan withdrew his former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of no contest to the charge of possession of marijuana with the intention to distribute. A plea agreement was entered between the defendant and the state. The court accepted the recommendation of the state and ordered the defendant to serve five years at hard labor at the Department of Corrections with credit for time served since 4/9/2013. The sentence is to run concurrent with Lafayette Parish and concurrent with any other sentence the defendant is presently serving.
