Kristy Hebert seeking District H seat on Vermilion School Board

Kristy Kloesel Hebert , an educator with seven years experience in education and seven years experience in business, announces her candidacy for District H, a district seat vacated by Ricky Broussard.
Mrs. Hebert has served Vermilion Parish for six years as a teacher, four years at Eaton Park Elementary and two years at LeBlanc Elementary. She currently teaches in Acadia Parish at South Crowley Elementary since a school board member cannot serve in the district she teaches.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in Elementary Education, were she was involved in several educational programs and committees.
She is married to Todd Hebert, son of Tony and the late Sandra Hebert of Erath, and grandson of the late Hazel Hebert. She is the stepmother of Brianna, a 2016 graduate of Erath High and mother of Chase, a fifth grader at Dozier Elementary. Her father is Mike Kloesel who is on the Chamber in Kaplan and involved in many non-profit organizations. His wife is Pam Kloesel.
Mrs. Hebert has been involved as a teacher in organizations such as Vermilion Association of Education and Louisiana Association of Educators, As a teacher, she has been credited for starting Junior Beta at LeBlanc Elementary. She has also been involved in working with special needs students, school wide curriculum, and professional development in-services and trainings. She attends and participates in many non- profit and community activities not only in Erath and Delcambre but all over Vermilion Parish.
She asks all citizens in District H to visit her political page on Facebook – Kristy Hebert for School Board. In addition, she has been walking door to door and plans to continue walking door to door to share her campaign platform with all voters of District H. According to Kristy, she also wants to share, as a teacher, the value and importance of educating our children. She believes that knowledge of the education system is very significant when representing our children, especially with the changes that our state has been instituting the past four years.
Kristy quoted: “I want to share with District H a chance to represent traditional core values of public education, as well as, a chance to represent democracy for local government without bureaucratic “good ole boy politics.” It is about placing our children’s needs FIRST. I want to utilize my experience as a HIGHLY EFFECTIVE teacher of children to assist my constituents with concerns relating to education, school board business, and our children’s interests.
I feel as a parent and educator I have the knowledge background and relationship to represent you the voters of District H. I am vocal, lead by conviction and will fight for the children of District H. I ask for your support by voting for me Kristy Hebert #77 - A TEACHER , as your school board member for District H. “
