Kaplan Police arrest one in connection with string of burglaries

According to Kaplan Police Chief Boyd Adams, a 20 year old male was arrested in connection with the recent string of burglaries in the city of Kaplan.

After interviewing several people and conducting several nights of surveillance, Kaplan police officers were able to arrest one suspect.

Arrested was Trevor Paul Byron, 20, of Rayne, La.. He is charged with one count of simple burglary for the burglary at Family Dollar on Highway 14.

His bond has been set at $12,000. He is currently incarcerated in the Kaplan city jail.

The case remains under investigation and more arrests are suspected in the near future.
