The Abbeville fire department check to see if the driver of this vehicle is OK. According to a passenger, the driver of the SUV hit three vehicles.
Four car accident in Abbeville
A four-vehicle accident occurred Monday afternoon in Abbeville at the corner of Park Street and the La 14 Bypass near Ray Chevrolet.
According to a passenger in one of the vehicles that was hit, a silver SUV was traveling in the inside lane on Park Street heading north when it approached the red light at the intersection. For some reason, the female driver of the SUV veered into the right lane and side swipped two small cars, bounced off those cars and went back into the inside lane and side swapped the back of a white Honda civic. The SUV finally came to a stop in the middle of the La. 14 intersection. The name of the driver of the SUV was not released by the Abbeville Police Department while the accident is under investigation. The female driver in the SUV looked to be the most seriously injured and was taken to a hospital by Acadian Ambulance.
