Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lloyd John Simon, 84, who died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his caregiver of ten years, Deborah Broussard of Abbeville; two sons, Steven Simon of Lafayette and Kenneth Simon of Chappell Hill, Texas; two daughters, Cathy Simon and Marlene Simon, both of Red Feather Lakes, Colorado; two brothers, Roland and Donald Simon, both of Lafayette; three sisters, Marion Turnage, Betty Couvillon, and Norma Vincent, all of Kaplan; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Klein Simon; and his parents, Loveless and Anna Simon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, September 25, from 8 a.m. until services.
