Abbeville Mayor Mark Piazza joins the Junior Auxiliary of Abbeville Chapter during their general chapter meeting on April 5 to present and read an official proclamation honoring April 03-06 as National Junior Auxiliary Week. Mayor Piazza thanked the chapter for their leadership, dedication and service to the community over the years. Mayor Piazza has been a supporter of JA of Abbeville since his installation as and the chapter is immensely grateful for his friendship. Members showcased their JA pride by wearing their chapter color, blue, and signifying their JA Week theme “Let BLUE Reign”.
Since the late 90s, the Jumelage (twinning) between the City of Kaplan and the City of Hannut continues. Visitations occur every other year, and this year the Kaplan Jumelage Committee will be visiting Hannut, Belgium, along with sites in France. The trip to Europe begins on March 27 and ends on April 9, 2016. The Kaplan Jumelage Committee will depart on Easter Sunday for Europe. The trip will include Paris and Normandy, France and Hannut, Belgium.
