Vermilion Parish Retired Teachers Association Officers for 2015-2017 are (l-r) Henrietta Garber, Treasurer; Darlene Neveaux, Secretary; Denise Nugent, Vice-President and Patsy Hebert, President. The next meeting of the VPRTA will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Abbeville Branch of the Vermilion Parish Library at 2 p.m. Membership is open to all retired school employees.

VP Retired Teachers Assoc. holds Oct. meeting

Vermilion Parish Retired Teachers Association met on Monday, October 12, 2015 for their regular monthly meeting at the Abbeville Branch of the Vermilion Parish Library.
Featured speaker was Robin Henry Stokes, a Vermilion Parish native and Coordinator of the Better Business Bureau program Savvy Seniors. The mission of the Savvy Seniors program is to bring awareness of financial scams and frauds targeting retirees. Stokes gave an entertaining and informative presentation concerning the most common types of scams and investment frauds along with suggestions on how to protect oneself from falling victim.
VPRTA will meet on November 9, 2015 at the Abbeville Branch of the Vermilion Parish Library at 2:00 pm. VPRTA is an affiliate of Louisiana Retired Teachers Association, District V.
Membership in the Vermilion Parish Retired Teachers Association is open to all retired school personnel.
All are invited to attend monthly meetings and join the association.
