Maltrait names Student of the Year and more
Maltrait Memorial Catholic School recently celebrated National Catholic Schools Week.
This year’s theme was Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service. During that week the school announced the recipients of the Educator and Supporter of the year.
They are Miss Mary Sonnier, Educator of the year, and Mr. Ryan Hebert and his wife, Mrs. Ali Hebert, Supporters of the year. These individuals have demonstrated time and time again their dedication and commitment to Catholic Education through the service they provide to the students and the school. They will be honored at the Diocese of Lafayette’s recognition ceremony in March, and be presented their award by Bishop Jarrell.
The Faculty, Staff, and Students are very proud and truly blessed to have these individuals as part of the Maltrait family.
Madisen Fontenot of Abbeville has been a member of the Jr. Beta Club for 2 years and the Library Club for 3 years. She played soccer for 6 years and is active in her Church parish. Throughout her years at Maltrait, she has achieved academic success by maintaining a GPA ranging from 3.85 to 4.0.
The faculty, staff, and students are very proud of Madisen’s accomplishments.
