Herod Elementary’s harvest

Dan Devenport of the LSU AgCenter speaks to the kids at James A. Herod Elementary about their garden and shows them how to pick their vegetables and harvest the various herbs growing there.

Devenport spoke to Kaite Villien’s 3rd grade class on Friday, May 16, and helped them harvest what they needed to make homemade salsa in their classrooms.

Also with the kids in the garden was Paula Jones, with United Health Care’s Activate 4 Kids.
