KHS FFA wins career development event

Kaplan High School FFA Chapter Placed first and second in both the Dairy Foods and Poultry CDE Judging Contest in area 3 at McNeese State University on February 4, 2014.

All four teams qualified for the State FFA CDE held at LSU on March 6, 2014. Kaplan Gold Poultry Team placed 2nd in the State Contest. Team members include Drake Mire, Trevor Hollier, Nicholas Landry, and Phillip Richard.

The Kaplan Blue Poultry Team placed 1st in The State Contest. Team members include Caleb Mire, Dacotah Marceaux, Dennis Menard, and Dylan Hebert. Dylan Hebert had the HIGH INDIVIDUAL score for the contest.

The Kaplan High School FFA Blue Team will represent Louisiana FFA in the National Poultry Judging Contest to be held at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky in October of 2014.
