Lege and Prejean set wedding date

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dale Lege of Maurice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Kati Jane Lege to Zachary Eli Prejean.

Zachary is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin “Tiger” Duhon of Abbeville and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Prejean of Lafayette.

The couple will be united in marriage on March 19, 2011, at Vermilionville in Lafayette.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldes Touchet of Abbeville and Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Lege of Kaplan.

Kati is a graduate of North Vermilion High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business management. She is currently employed by Teche Electric in Lafayette.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Mahlen Hebert of Kaplan, Mr. Jack Prejean of Sulphur and Mrs. Donna Cooper of North Carolina.

Zachary is a graduate of Abbeville High School and is a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserves, 403rd Wing, 41st Aerial Port Squadron at Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss.

Prejean is an Operation Iraq Freedom veteran and is scheduled for his second tour of duty to Manas, Kyrgyzstan in May. He is currently employed by Acadian Contractors in Abbeville.
