VC's Campbell picks up Player of the Week

Scoring 30 points alone in Vermilion Catholic’s 55-8 win over Highland Baptist, Mike Campbell broke a personal record and led the team to a solid victory over their previously undefeated opponent. “It was exciting to go in against a team like that and do so well,” Campbell said of the Friday night victory. “The offensive line helped a lot. There was no way I could’ve done it without them.” Campbell’s scoring drives included a 34-yard run all the way in. Four of his scores were on runs. The fifth was a short pass from quarterback Brennan Gallet. Campbell joins the rest of the Eagles back home Friday night for arguably their toughest game of the year as they host Eunice, who is fresh off a win over Rayne in week seven.
