Lady Bobcats get first district win

The Erath Lady Bobcat basketball team finally got back on the court Monday night, for the first time in almost two weeks.

It was a good return to the court for the Lady Bobcats as they now are the proud owners of a two game winning streak, with the win over district rival West St. Mary, 42-32.

From the very beginning, the Lady Bobcats had this game under control.

In the first half, the Lady Bobcats offense scored 18 points.

Gabby Harrington scored 11 of those 18 points.

The defense held West St. Mary to only 14 points in the first half.

The offense really started rolling in the second half for Erath, and wound up scoring 25 points in the second half, while the defense only allowed 18.

Leading the way in scoring for the Lady Bobcats was Gabby Harrington.

Harrington scored a team high 18 points. 11 of her 18 points came in the first half.

Jasmine Lejune got in on the scoring action as she added nine points to the Lady Bobcats total.

Ashley Dubois and Caitlin Domingues each added six points of their own.

Alexa Faulk rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bobcats with a three-pointer in the third quarter.

This win was the first district win for the Erath.

The Lady Bobcats record now sits at 9-8.

They will return to the court on Friday as they will travel to take on the North Vermilion Lady Patriots.
