Abbey Players announces auditions

How much would you pay for a white painting? Why would it matter who the painter was? Would it be art? One of Marc’s best friends, Serge, has just bought a very expensive painting. To Marc, the painting is a joke, but Serge insists Marc doesn’t have the proper standard to judge the work. Another friend, Ivan, though burdened by his own problems, allows himself to be pulled into this disagreement. Eager to please, Ivan tells Serge he likes the painting. Lines are drawn and these old friends square off over the canvas. Will their friendships last?
Abbey Players announce auditions on January 4 and 5 from 2-5 p.m. and January 6 from 6-9 p.m. in the lobby of the theatre at 200 S. State Street in Abbeville. We are looking for 3 men ages 25-40 for the wildly funny, naughtily provocative comedy, ART, by Yasmina Reza.

The show will run February 28 through March 29. We are also looking for backstage crew members and anyone else willing to help.
