Broussard and Hargrave united in marriage

Kristen Michele Broussard and John Ryan Hargrave exchanged vows of matrimony on January 8, 2010, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Father Joe Breaux officiated the six o’clock ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Kaye Broussard of Maurice. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes Broussard of Maurice and Mr. and Mrs. John Trahan of Kaplan. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Elore Dronet of Kaplan.

The groom is the son of Johnny and Cindy Hargrave of Erath. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hidalgo Sr. of Erath and the late Lovelace Hargrave and Olite Hargrave.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a ball gown of ivory silk taffeta detailed with a pleated portrait neckline designed by Jasmine Bridal Collection. The bodice and skirt was adorned with beaded lace. The tiffany train was embellished with beaded lace appliques. She wore a cathedral length veil lined with ivory satin.

Serving as Maid of Honor was Katrina Broussard, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kari Begnaud, friend of the bride; Lauren Landry, sister of the groom; Heather Guidry and Sara Hebert, cousins of the bride. Junior Bridesmaid was Caroline Hidalgo, godchild of the groom; and Rylie Trahan, cousin of the bride, served as the Flower Girl.

Serving as the Best Man was Johnny Hargrave, the father of the Groom. Groomsmen included Grant Lemaire and Shane Hebert, friends of the groom; Derek Broussard, brother of the bride; and Trey Hopson, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Troy Landry, brother-in-law of the groom; Matt Hebert, cousin of the bride; and Lon Hargrave, cousin of the groom.

Readers for the ceremony were Gelaine Boutin, godmother of the bride; and Danielle Hidalgo, aunt of the groom.

Musical selections were performed by vocalist Jodi Bollich, violinist Yangyang Li, trumpet players Will Green and Scotty Walker and organist Kevin Martin.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at L’Eglise.

After returning from a honeymoon in San Francisco and Napa Valley, California, the couple will reside in Erath.
