5K benefit ‘Walk’ in Alabama

On Saturday, April 5, a “5K Walk” to raise money to help fight TSC (Tuberous Sclerosis Complex) will be held in Birmingham, Alabama.

The benefit is to help Michael Cox, son of Dr. Jared Cox, formerly of Thibodeaux; and Margaret Gilder Cox, formerly of Crowley; as well as many others who have been diagnosed with TSC.

The couple is currently living in Birmingham, Alabama where Dr. Cox is completing his residency in Urology.

The walk will start at 9 a.m., at the Emment O’Neal Library in Birmingham.

Grandparents of Michael are Raynel and Gene Gilder of Crowley, and they are planning to participate in the walk to help raise funds.

Anyone in the area wishing to make a donation can call the Gilder’s at 783-3795 or can mail a check made out to “Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Alliance” to 19 Governor Edwards Drive, Crowley, La. 70526. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
